What Causes Intense Stomach Pain While Taking Nausea Medications?

please can you help me my son they believe has sever IBS he is in sever pain and unable to work the doctor wants an MRI done but- the Insurance company -wont ok it yet because he had a endoscope done 2-3 wks ago and so they are waiting for what I don t know!!! he was in the ER a wk ago with all this pain and now unable to work (general manger) for hunting and fishing store today he called and said he was in terrible pain in the stomach area (different pain) everyday worse and worse what should I do as his mother I m so worried he is on nausa med and Alian probotic for the last week only had a poptart since wens. of this week I worried about dehydration but the pain is unreal my son is 41yrs lives by hisself and I would like how to make him comfortable Doctors have told me they re unable to give rx for the pain until Mri is done so how do I have my son get the insurance company to ok the MRI to be done now that the doctor wants to do? very concerned susan thank you for your time DOCTOR

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that an evaluation is required before any treatment but he can take antacid, antiemetic and probiotic with non spicy / low fat food.
