Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query intense tingling on the left side of tongue and lips could be due to two main factors. One is it could be due to facial nerve impingement and inflammation in that area that is leads to muscle weakness and twitching. Second is it could be due to lack of blood supply to concern part or vitamin B12 supplement. I would suggest you to consult neurosurgeon or oral surgeon for proper diagnosis and to rule out systemic condition which is responsible for nerve dysfunction. Take anticonvulsant drug (carbatrol) , muscle relaxant like baclofen. Do mouth stretching exercises. Blow in blow out will help. Massage therapy will be helpful. Doctor may prescribe MRI, CT face to find out underlying pathology.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
