What Causes Intense Vaginal Pain After Having Intercourse?

I have severe pains after intercourse with my fiance, weve tried different speeds, positions, and nothing seems to work. it hurts so bad i have to curl up into a ball to get it to stop. any pressure such as coughing hurts.. me and my fiance are trying to conceive a child and with the way the pains are i really dont know what to do. weve been trying for a year now and nothing. also dont know what it means but i dont have orgasms.. could this mean i could be infertal? i have had cyst problems on my overies since i was a pre teen and i was also told that i had a tilted uterus. i just wanna know what is going on and to see if i can get some answers.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern.

Following are the cause of your problem:
1. VAGINAL WALL TRAUMA: bleeding cause pain in abdomen
It can be prevented by using lubrication during intercourse.
But may be due to urethral dysfunction.
2.Precancerous condition in cervix: Atrophied cervix get easily damage due to trauma and produce pinkish blood due to mixed with cervical mucus
3. Endo metrial dysplasia
4. Cervical polyp
5. Fibroids
6. Ovarian cyst
7. Rough sex

So it might be a trauma to vaginal wall.
But if it will not respond you should consult with gynecologist/sexologist to exclude precancerous condition and infection(STD: bacterial vaginosis an chlymadia)

Do the following test:
1. Pelvic examination
2. Pelvic USG
3. Hysteroscopy
4. Endometrial biopsy
5. For infertility do the sperm analysis of your partner at infertility centre.
Do ovarian follicle study.
You should maintain hygiene before and after sex.
Use condoms and lubricants.
Take the advice of sexologist for better sex
wash vagina using warm water with added salt.
Wear loose cotton underwear.
Take healthy diet.

Hope this may help you
Wish you good health
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
