What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding While On An IUD?

Hello, I have an IUD in for almost 6 years. I got my period for 2 days heavy bleeding usually my period last 5 days. Now it s 7 days later and I got my period again. I did that a pregnancy test and it said negative. But I m worried, thou I did see a doctor a few months ago to check on my IUD and was told everything was fine. Thank you for your time

Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. I think you should consider visiting a gynecologist to determine the couse of bleeding. Maybe an Ultrasound needs to be done and a colposcopy to determine the cause of it. Can't be said without seeing.
