What Causes Inter-menstrual Bleeding?
Hi, Since 5 months I am having more than spotting in between my regular periods. This patterns usually on 14th or 15th day. Earlier I thought this irregularity is due to stress and hectic schedule. Today is 15th day, there was a slight bleeding again and I have consulted a gynec. she prescribed me Novelon Desogestral and Ethinylestradiol USP for next 15 days and then 2 next cycles, and a few tests to better understand the irregularity. 1. When I read the leaflet inside novelon pack, it says to take the tablet marked with Day today. where my pack has not got any such marking. so I am confused if i can take any of the pills? 2. There are so many tests suggested (for the first time in life), so I am a little scared if this is a normal thing that may happen with any female or something wrong inside me? Tests suggested are: During Menses: FSH, LH Anyday, in fasting condition : Hemogram with ESR, Blood Group, Urine -Routine, BSL F, TSH, PRL, HBelectrophoresis sickling I am 28 years old, 49.5 kgs, 5 1 , unmarried

I understand your concern, Dear first of all you can start pills as your doctor prescribed, secondly bleeding is middle of the menses most probably it is ovulation bleeding no need to worry, but there is rare possibility of other causes so you have to rule out, if sexual activity has been started then you can go for pap smear and endometrial biopsy or if sexual activity has not been started then go for ultrasound to know endometrial thickness.
