What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

I had my period on November 19th I finished on the 26th and now today I noticed I have really light flow and regular pms pain. I am sexually active but always use protection and he pulls out still.
I've had irregular periods for a year is this okay?

Hi,
I Understand your concern.
Inter menstrual bleeding can be due to various causes like- Hormonal imbalance, cervical erosion/infection, cervical polyp, fibroid uterus, very rarely cancer.
It needs to be diagnosed & taken care of, just to neglect it for being due to irregular periods is not proper.
Consult a gynecologist for physical/internal examination, investigations to diagnose & suggest the treatment.
Thanks,
