What Causes Inter-menstrual Bleeding?

I have been getting my period 2 times in a month and this is my second time it happens like that. I just finished my period on the 17 of Aug and now I am back on it today. Last month it h as plenty the same? Is something wrong? I have been trying to conceive.

Abnormal vaginal bleeding between periods is also called intermenstrual bleeding, spotting, and metrorrhagia. When bleeding occurs between normal periods, there are many possible causes. While some causes may be easy to treat, others can indicate a serious underlying condition.
