What Causes Inter Menstrual Vaginal Bleeding?

I had my period about a month and a half ago. About a week later I started bleeding. It wasn t like my period, very light. (Almost like a pinkish color) it keep happening for almost a month. Sometimes it will be light pink and light, other times it would be dark red and a little heavy. (But not as heavy as my usual period) i also noticed it had a weird smell to it. (Which I never noticed when I was on my period) I took a pregnancy test and it came back negitive, but I looked the next day and it was positive. Can I be pregnant or could something be really wrong?

I really appreciate your concern, it may not be pregnancy and if it is the more matter of concern then you need to get done the ultrasonography, else it is nothing to worry, hormone level changes could be the cause hope this information helps.
