Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My period is over a week late. Well I started this afternoon with very light bleeding so I put a tampon in and went on about my day I waited the max time before I changed it since it didn t feel near full and when I took it out it had hardly any blood some very dark red tissue and then grey. Just wondering what the grey is ive never experienced that I m 23 so I ve had plenty of periods to know when something is a little off I ve also never been this late before
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your about your scanty period.
Normally it can be at puberty or menopause time or because of the formation of thin endometrial lining and it's erosion at the time of periods leads minute blood loss.
It can also be because to too much dieting at stress related issue like exam time or any other issue.
You don't need to worry, it is a normal issue most of the times but if it will repeat you need to visit a Gynecologist for more consultation.
Hope my answer will help you and write us back in case you want any further help.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
