What Causes Intermenstrual Bleeding Along With Hair Fall?
Hi , I m 29 years old. Always have pretty regular periods. Bleeding is normally over within 6 to 7 days. From few months i got my periods again after 6 to 7 day of ending. Not heavy but it is dark brown discharge. I have done my pap and chlamydia & GC swab test on 08/20/ 2014. Both test ate normal but i still suffering from this problem. One more thing is that i lost my hair terribly. Is hair fall problem related to my periods problem ? What should i do? Do i need to visit a doctor?
The additional bleeding you are having is around the day 14 of your menstrual cycle. This is the day of egg release (ovulation). On and around the day of ovulation, many a woman get some amount of bleeding, which may be accompanied by some pain in abdomen. This is called as Mittelschmerz. This is a physiological phenomenon and you do not have to be concerned about it.
Your hair fall need not be necessarily related to your menstrual pattern if you are not a case of Polycystic ovarian syndrome. Anaemia, dandruff, some skin problems, eye problems, etc. may lead to hair loss. Please report to your Skin Specialist for this and get appropriate treatment. High protein diet and iron tablets may help you minimize hair loss. Please check whether you are using strong shampoo or conditioner. Your Skin Specialist will guide you in this regards.
Also you may rule out PCOS with the help of Gynaecologist.
I hope this helps you.
