What Causes Intermittent Abdominal Pain And Vaginal Bleeding After An Abortion?
I am 26years old. Did abortion around 20days back, had bleeding with clots for 5 to 6 days. Then after 2 to 3days gap it started again , bleeds for 2 to 3days. And after another gap of 3 to 4days, it started again with a pain on the left side of my abdomen. This time the bleeding is with some clots. Its been 3 to 4days the pain is not going away and still there is little traces of blood. Please advice what to do? Have some test or wait for a while?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bleeding and pain in abdomen after an abortion can be due to retained products of conception in the uterinecavity. I would suggest you to get a repeat ultrasound and consult your OBGYN specialist for further management, as repeat surgical evacuation may be needed if there are significant retained products of conception in the uterine cavity.
