What Causes Intermittent And Prolonged Sore Throat?

Have a weird slightly and intermittent, but prolonged sore throat, on and off for a few days, see very small specs of dark green mucous when gargling stuff out; no congestion, no nasal blockages, the lill burning seems to linger down to upper sternum and is on and off over past few days? the mldness and longetivity of this makes me wonder what it is, what I should be doing?

Hello

There can abe a few reasons fro the mucus discharge , the first one being a sinus infection causing a post nasal drip and the second one, which is more likely is ,acid reflux from the stomach into the throat. please meet your ent doctor for confirming this and further advice.

Thanks
