Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Since March 2015 I have had this nagging chest discomfort off and on. It was on right side for some time now it is on my left side. When I sit a certain way I can feel it. For example if I sit with good posture straight up or walk with good posture I feel it, but if I slump over I don t feel it as much. I am 26 years old 224.8 lbs female and recently had a baby 8 months ago. I have been excercising and have lost 35 pounds in the last 5 months. What could this be?
Pain in the chest that comes and goes may signal a problem with the heart, respiratory system, or digestion. I suggest to check the cardiac function through an electrocardiogram. I also suggest to do a chest X-ray to evaluate the lung function. If the first examinations are normal,it is probably a digestion issue.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
