What Causes Intermittent Chest Pain, Dizziness And Lightheadedness?
Hello. I am experiencing a mild chest pain that either come and goes, or sometimes last for hours. They are no other accompanying symptoms. I am a non-smoker, 20 years old, no family history of heart disease. I am also a generally anxious person. I went to the ER for feeling dizzy and lightheaded 2 days ago and had blood tests, and an ECG of which everything comes back normal. Should I go to the ER again for this mild chest pain?

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Chest pain can be due to cardiac ischemia or due to anemia but you have ruled out these by going to ER and doing ECG as well as blood tests. So your problem can be most likely due to anxiety and stress. You can also go for a TMT test also to rule out any chance of exercise induced ischemia. You can do stress relaxing exercises like breathing exercise. Sit relaxed and take deep breaths. If it is not helping then a counselling with psycologist will be helpful. If that is also not working then short course anxiolytics or betablockers will be helpful. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
