What Causes Intermittent Electric Shock Pain Behind The Knees?

I have a pain to the right rear knee area. It is intermittent, it feels like I m being pinched or receiving some sort of electric shock. It has progressively developed from two times a day to up to eight, whether I m standing up, sitting down, or laying in bed.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain and electric shock like sensation on back of knee is suggestive of nerve disorder.
Various nerves are passing by in the posterior aspect of the knee joint.
Pinching of some nerve behind the knee can lead to electric shock like sensation.
Pain on back side of knee joint can be due to some soft tissue injury.
I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment, definitive diagnosis and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
