What Causes Intermittent Heart Palpitations And Pain In The Temple Region?

I have been having intermittent heart palpitations for about a year now. I had a 4x bypass surgery in June, 2014. During that operation the surgeon performed a maze procedure. I did not have a big problem with palpitations before then. within the past couple of weeks I am getting this unusual sharp pain in my temples that lasts about a second or two. The sharpness goes away, but I will have a dull ache for about a half hour after. This happens once or twice a day. I can t pin down what triggers it but the palpitations have been fairly constant for about the last month.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

We have to rule out possible causes like cardiac arrhythmia. Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated. A detailed evaluation is required including serial ECG.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
