Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Intermittent Lower Abdominal Pain In A Toddler?
I have a four year old grandson who intermittently (several times a week) complains of pain in his lower abdomen between his belly button and penis. He doesn t have constipation. His appetite is OK. When it hurts, he will grab at his lower abdomen and bend over. It usually goes away within an hour or so and there isn t any mention of it for several days. This has been happening over the last six months.
I think he should get evaluated doing a stool sample and a urine sample. Parasites or urinary tract infections can cause symptoms. You can upload the results at reports and I can interpret them for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
