General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Taking into account his personal history of diverticulitis, this intermittent lower and pain is because of any acute re-activation of the diverticulitis inflammation.

I think this patient should see a gastroenterologist as soon as possible, and run a few diagnostic tests:

- complete blood count
- urine analysis
- abdominal ultrasound
- colonoscopy

After getting the results and analyze them, can discuss the right treatment strategy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
