Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my left groin area. It is intermittent but seems to be getting worse. I have had X-rays and an MRI of my hips and lower back which do not show any cause for the pain. It hurts upon awakening and after walking for a while. Do you have any suggestions of what it might be or who I should see. I have been seeing an orthopedic surgeon. I had a left knee placement in 2011
Pain in left groin region can occur due to various causes. Since, X-ray and MRI of groin region rule out any joint related disease, the pain could be refered from some other site in abdomen.
I suggest you to consult a surgeon for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
