What Causes Intermittent Pain In Kidney After An Injury?

I recently got slapped so hard on my side right about where my kidney is. I had a handprint for several hours. shortly after the incident,i felf sharp little pains. they come and go. can u tell me what i should do? I ve never had any kind of pains or infections with my kidneys before. I m a lil worried.

Pain felt in kidney region is most probably due to trauma.
Internal injury is possibly the cause of pain.
I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and ultrasound of the abdomen to assess the level of injury to internal organs if any.
Further management will depend on the type and site of injury.
