I have sharp stabbing intermittent pain on the left side of my chest. I had a spontaneous coronary artery dissection a year ago and stopped taking the beta blocker a week ago. When I asked my doctor about it, she said it sounded like musculoskeletal pain and to take Tylenol and wait it out. That was 3 days ago and it does not seem to be getting better. I m wondering what I should do.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, you should definitely consult cardiologist again and get done coronary angiography done. You had coronary artery disease 1 year ago and stopped taking beta blocker since 1 week. So there is high possibility that you may develop coronary artery disease again which is causing you this pain. So consult cardiologist and discuss all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
