General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Based on your description to the type of pain, it is possible that it is neuragia or nerve related pain.

This can be due to : (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(2)diabetes
(3)liver or kidney disease
(4)exposure to toxins
(5)side effect of medications
(6)some hormonal or autoimmune diseases
(7)ms, stroke
(8)infection such as shingles
(9)cause is not known

Blood tests to screen for diabetes, check for infection and check the vitamin levels , should be done.
Screening for hormonal diseases and autoimmune conditions may also be considered.

There are medications that can be used to help with this type of pain. They would require a prescription from your doctor .
Eg lyrica, tegretol, gabapentin, amitriptyline, nortriptyline

I hope this helps
