What Causes Intermittent Rashes On Chest, Neck And Arms?

I have a rash that comes and goes the only thing that I have changed in the past year is I put some lavender oil on some laundry balls. I have stopped doing that 2 weeks ago but the rash persists. Some days good others bad. The rash is confined to the chest, neck, and arms. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Any history of sun allergy should be ruled out.Autoimmune disease such as systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriasis should be ruled out. Eczema or dermatitis caused by inflammation of skin should be ruled out. Urticaria or allergic rashes should be ruled out. The cause which could be food, fabric, dust, pollen should be identified and the allergen should be avoided.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
