What Causes Intermittent Sharp Pain At The Distal Left Thumb Joint?
Hi. Last couple days I have an intermittent onset of a sharp pain at the distal left thumb joint. Doesn t last but maybe a minute at most. Full use and motion, no heat, swelling or discoloration. No after effects when pain dissapates. I eat a veggi-rich low-carb higher-fat diet. Any idea where to start? Thanks, Mike.

You have to get checked for gouty arthritis or infection or other rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
Use tablet tramadol with paracetamol.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
