What Causes Intermittent Sharp Pain In The Left Side Of The Forehead?

Hello, My friend is getting a sharp pain in his head in the same spot everytime that last about 30 seconds each time it occurs. It is in the temple area (left side of forehead). This occurred approximately 18 times yesterday and woke him in his sleep last night twice. It continued happening today. Do you know what could be causing this? He currently takes an aspirin everyday due to heart issues along with solatol. He hasn t changed or added any medications to what he currently takes. Should he seek medical attention right away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It looks like he is having stabbing headache or ice pick headache that can last for seconds and repeated for several times a day. This on a kind of migraine headache. He can receive Mmelatonin and Indomeracine to prevent it from reoccurring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
