What Causes Intermittent Sharp Pain Under The Breast?

Intermittently I have a sharp pain under my left breast. The pain is continuous and sometimes lasts a few minutes, but other times lasts a few hours. I had an x-ray of that area and nothing of significance showed up. The x-ray show did not a prior break which I don t remember unless it was a cracked ribbed that may have occurred during a coughing attack (when I had a cold). I have an annual physical, mammogram and blood work and am healthy as far as I know.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If the pain is sharp enough, there can be possible costo chondritis which has to be considered and discussed with your doc in next visit. Primary relief with analgesic medications and spray.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
