What Causes Intermittent Shooting Pain In Right Groin And The Crease Of Leg?

I have been intermittently experiencing extreme shooting sharp pain in my right groin in the crease of my leg.. The pain is extremely bad, lasts for a couple of minutes but leaves that area aching with a dull kind of hurting. It is kind of scary and unnerving when this happens.
