What Causes Intermittent Spotting With Bloating And Constipation?
I normally have a 28 day cycle but sometimes it is a day or two longer or shorter. This month it was 24 days. On day 12 I had pinkish mucous with blood in it. Days 13,14, 15 brownish mucous/discharge. Day 21,22,23,24 brownish and red discharge. When my period did come it lasted less than 1.5 days. I am bloated frequently and often feel constipated. I am 33 years old and my husband and i have been trying to conceive for 12 months now with no luck. My GP says that I am fine and I had an ultrasound vaginally and externally and she says everything looks fine. I recently found out that I have HPV and abnormal cells so I am scheduled for a colposcopy in February. I want a referral to a fertility clinic but she hasn t given me one yet. Please help. I feel like something is wrong but no one listens.
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Irregular bleeding and spotting with positive HPV needs to properly investigated by colposcopy to rule out any cancerous or precancerous lesions in the cervix. Once these are ruled out, you and your partner should get properly investigated to determine the cause of infertility and further management should be done accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
