What Causes Intermittent Stomach Cramps Long After A Hysterectomy?

I am having on an off stomach cramps. I am a 47 year old female. I have had a hysterectomy about 4 years ago but I still have my right ovary. The pain is in the lower part of my abdomen and can be on one side or cover the entire lower part of my abdomen. Sometimes all away around to my back. Any info would be appreciated.....

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

How long you are suffering from stomach cramps? Do you have any pain or burning sensation while urination? If you have stomach cramps with burning urination it may be due to urinary tract infection. If it is not I recommend you to do USG pelvis to rule out any pathology in your ovaries.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abdul Hazan MD
