What Causes Intermittent Tingling Sensation In Arm Radiating To Fingers?

Over the past several days I have been experiencing an intermittent tingling sensation in my left arm which radiates into my fingers akin to one s arm going to sleep. After a few minutes the sensation subsides. This is VERY unusual and to my knowledge there is no obvious reason for it. I have not injured my hand, arm, or shoulder. Please advise.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. Good day. Thanks for writing to HCM. I am Dr Sarika and I will be answering your query today.
These are symptoms of sensory neuropathy which means the related nerves are affected. This can happen due to a variety of reasons the most common being cervical spondylosis. DO you have neck pain? Just try to sit erect and turn your head sideways to the maximum, up and down to the maximum and see if its inducing pain or discomfort. If you do please get an xray of the cervical spine after seeing an orthopedician. Based on your symptoms that seems like the most probable cause.
Wishing you good health.
Warm regards.
