What Causes Intermittent Vaginal Bleeding While On Effexor?

Hi I have been on Effexor for about 4 years at 75g. I needed the dose to be increased so it was increased to 150g iver a month ago I feel 100% better but I have been bleeding between periods. Some days a lot others only a little. I'm due again for a real period in a week. Should I just wait to see if things settle down or go see a doctor. Thankyou lisa

Most likely same as when NOT on effexor. It doesn't have direct hormonal effects. HOWEVER, it certainly does have INDIRECT hormonal effects. Stress hormones change menstrual cycling. Weight gain or loss and activity level increases or decreases change it. There is not a lot of interaction with other medications or hormonal treatments with effexor.
