What Causes Intermittent Weakness In Both Arms And Hands?

I am having weakness in both arms and hands that come and goes, along with dropping things. I don t feel myself at all when these episode occur(s). I ve had 2 neck surgery and had it checked and all is well with that part. I do have trigeminal neuralgia in my left facial side that I take medication to keep it control for approximately 10 years. I have reasonably started having the same type of T.N. pain on my right facial / temple. Thank you for your time...Louis

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The weakness in both hands could be related to the spinal cord damage or a pinched nerve. I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam. Performing nerve conduction studies and a new cervical spine MRI may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
