What Causes Internal Nodules After Hemicolectomy?

Hi! My partner had e right hemicolectomy last Sept 2015. Niw she had her CEA tested and the result is 1ng/ml. Her trple contrast ct scan showed that there is a fairly defined 1.3 cm hypodense non enhancing focus with an inernal nodular solid component seen in segment 6 of the liver. I am worried about the test, i dont know wether it is a benign cyst or malignant. Please healp me understand the CEA and ct scan result. Thank you very much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your diagnosed solid nodules at your liver following a hemicolec to my with a CEA of 1mg/ml I am suggesting you have developed a metastases malignant tumor to the liver

In view of this please schedule an appointment with an hepatologist specialist for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription

I hope this helps Regards
