What Causes Intracranial Hypertension?

my soon to be wife, has rare disease callled, IH...... They said they were gonna make an appoint for her to have eye surgery? They are gonna stick a needle in her eyes and I was trying to find a website online that shows and tells a little about it.. IF you know great, if not, thank you anyways

I think it is probably a BENIGN INTRACRANIAL HYPERTENSION (BIH) and can present as swelling in the eye nerve seen after dilated fundus examination. The procedure you are talking may a Aqueous tap to lower pressure on the eye nerve. But i feel I.V Mannitol gives immediate relief under Ophthalmologist supervision
