What Causes Involuntary Movements In The Left Arm?

Sudden onset. My left arm felt like it was floating and would move involuntarily around. If I concentrated I could control it and bring it back by my side but otherwise it would float out 12 to 15 inches from my body and move in a seemingly random way. Lasted only a short time. No associated pain - just a very weird feeling.
