Hello,

You are experiencing the symptoms of menopause. Heart palpitations are a direct result of lower levels of the hormone estrogen. Low estrogen levels cause overstimulation of the heart & hence palpitations. Good nutrition and balanced diet can help control heart palpitations. You are suggested to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, fish, and poultry.

Maintain healthy weight, you should avoid putting on excess weight, as it can add strain to the heart and increase blood pressure. Low estrogen levels during menopause also affects the hypothalamus, it regulates body temperature thus making the body more sensitive to small changes in body temperature, causing hot flashes or chills.

Avoid taking alcohol or spicy food that trigger hot flashes and can also trigger a rebound cold flash. Get clinically examined by a GP, get all cardiac function tests, lipid function tests to detect any developing CAD, you will be accordingly treated. Tingling and muscle spasms can be due to dehydration, hypocalcemia, hypoglycemia, low BP or may be indicative of peripheral neuropathy.

If diabetic, control your blood sugar levels at all cost. Stay adequately hydrated. Do not skip meals, take food in time so that your vitals are maintained. Get examined by a Neurologist, get Nerve conduction velocity test , etc., done so that you can be treated at the earliest. Take Vitamin B6, B12 rich food or supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

There are several potential causes of involuntary muscle spasms in the legs, chills, and heart palpitations, and it's important to speak with a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause. Here are a few possibilities:
* Electrolyte imbalances: Low levels of electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium can cause muscle spasms and heart palpitations. This can occur due to inadequate intake or absorption, excessive loss (e.g., through sweating), or certain medications.
* Anxiety: Anxiety can cause muscle tension, heart palpitations, and chills. It's important to speak with a healthcare provider if anxiety is causing significant distress or interfering with daily activities.
* Menopause: Common symptoms of menopause are hot flashes and chills. Hormone therapy and lifestyle changes can help manage these symptoms.
* Medications: Certain medications, including some antidepressants, can cause muscle spasms and heart palpitations.
* Neurological conditions: Certain neurological conditions, such as restless leg syndrome, can cause muscle spasms in the legs.

It's important to speak with a healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause of these symptoms and receive appropriate treatment. If you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, or other severe symptoms, seek emergency medical attention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
