What Causes Involuntary Twitching Of Collar Bone Muscle Post Heart Valve Replacement Surgery?

My father just had heart valve replacement surgery (for both mitral and aortic valves). Since the surgery and for 4 straight days now, he has had a non-stop involuntary twitching/fluttering right under the collar bone on the left side of his chest. Any idea? Is it more likely a neurological or a cardiac issue?
