What Causes Irregular And Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Along With Cramps?
ii have been on a very odd menstrual cycle for 3 weeks. It started around the time its suppose to which is at the beginning of the month but i have bleeding pretty heavily for nearly 21 days. It slows down sometimes, in fact the other day i thought it was on its way to stopping but when i drink beer(which i do heavily) it bleeds alot and i feel cramping. What is going on withme??
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. From the description you have posted, it appears that irregular heavy bleeding along with cramps could be mainly due to hormonal imbalance or due to Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD). Hence, kindly get the following tests done. 1. Blood for FSH, LH and Prolactin levels to know about the hormone status. 2. Ultrasound scan of pelvis to know about the status of ovary and uterus. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management. All the best.
