Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Age 64.5, weight 240, height 5.5. (5.6 when younger), history periods bad -- very irregular, very painful, heavy flow. (some small cramp-like pains occasionally for last several years) Began slight bleeding nearly 3 months ago, regular doctor sent me for transvaginal ultrasound a couple of weeks ago, found thickening (15mm), referred to OB-GYN for appointment 2 weeks from now. Upon research it is now sounding like something I should get looked at further sooner. What do you think?
By your history and description, the possibility of hormonal imbalance is more likely. So consult a gynecologist and get done a clinical examination and hormone levels.
You will need hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones normalize, you will be alright.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
