What Causes Irregular And Painful Periods?

Hi. I m 18 and have been getting periods for about 5 years now. They re often irregular, sometimes once a month and sometimes weeks or even months late. I ve experienced extreme cramping with a lot of pain, especially when the period is late. I ve also passed out from it a few times. Is this something I should see my doctor about?

Yes this needs evaluation
You need a pelvic exam, PAP smear, pelvic ultrasound and blood work
This could be a hormonal problem or something called endometriosis and it needs to be studied and treated
