Hello,

Irregular heartbeat and swelling over the feet can be an indication of heart failure. I would advise you to get yourself checked in an Emergency Room (ER) as soon as possible as heart failure if not treated can lead to severe complications.

You will be required to undergo a thorough physical examination and certain investigation s like EKG, chest X-ray and complete blood and electrolyte profile. If diagnosis is confirmed, you may be put on diuretics to treat the fluid accumulation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma Amman
