Hi missed beats or pauses in cardiac beating can be because of many factors it can be because of electrolyte disbalance , or it can be a arrythmia for few seconds, or it can be av blocks. adviced Holter monitoring -a Holter monitor is a portable device for continuously monitoring various electrical activity of the cardiovascular system for at least 24 hours, any arrthmia or cause of missed beat or pauses will be recorded in it, according to its report we can further progress to electrophysioogical studies to rule out and treat the cause. but initially a 2d echo and holter has to be done
