What Causes Irregular Heartbeats And Palpitations?

Hi, about 10 years ago I went to my GP suffering from palpitations. After an ECG was told I had an irregular heartbeat. I hadn't noticed this problem until recently, when it has started again on a daily basis. I have been unwell recently, blood tests showed ALP elevated in LFT test and had liver scan which came back normal. I have been incredibly tired but all my GP could narrow it down to was a virus. I have to have bloods repeated in a month but I am still tired and concerned about palpitations. I had my blood pressure taken yesterday by a friend who is a nurse and it was 151/89 pulse rate was 97.Should I be thinking of getting a second opinion or wait for next lot of blood results in about 3 weeks time?Thank you, Jane

Hello Jane

After going through your medical details I understand your concern and would like to tell you that for palpitations you should have checked your Heart test also.

Its advisable for you to get your cardiac workup done. Kindly get an ECG, Echocardiography done for further evaluation of life threatening arrhythmias.
