What Causes Irregular, Heavy And Light Periods Intermittently?

i have been having really weird menstural cycles. its been this way since june. i will not have a period for a month then when i do get one i have it for like a month or month and half. then other times it seems like i dont have a period it like really really really lite. whats the matter with me?
