What Causes Irregular Menstruation, Abdominal Pain And Positive Pregnancy Result?

Hello doctor am 36yrs of age. Am on carbergoline due to high leave of prolactin. If I stop the medication my period goes to irregular. For the past 2months I was not talking my medication So my menstruation was not coming I started again for the last month but its still not coming I fill abormine pains just like my period is coming but is not. I did the home pregnancy text and is showing positive. Am confused .

Hi,

If you have doubt, please get it cleared (it can take 5 weeks to diagnose pregnancy).

False pregnancy testis +ve in case of contaminated friend sample or the container.

Low levels of prolactin interfere with ovulation, so pregnancy os hampered.

You need to follow the treating doctors instructions &take medicines on time regularly. A break in medicines delays the benefit you expect.
