What Causes Irregular Menstruation And Dry Skin While On Thyronorm?

Hi,im 27 yrs old i have undergone thyroid profile 3 months back and tsh level was 5.25 thus i consulted endocrinologist he advised me to take thyronorm 50 mcg for 3 mnths and repeat the test again.i took medicines for 3 mnths i noticed that while taking these medicines menstrual cycle was disturbed.after 4th day of periods there was spotting for more 4 day,dryness of skin etc. Now again i have undergone test and tsh level is 5.45 so my doctor has advised me to stop medicines n these month i got menstruation and no spotting.im confused why my menstruation was disturbed?could u plz answer me

Thyroid hormone levels can affect menstruation. Both high or low levels of thyroid hormones can affect the frequency or intensity of the menstrual cycle.

This is one of the common symptoms of thyroid disorders so the change is levels is the likely cause.
