What Causes Irregular Menstruation, Breast Pain And PMS Symptoms?

I rarely get my period. Very irregular. I had abnormal bleeding a the beginning of August. Took Provera from 8/8-8/17. Had what was thought as withdrawal bleeding from the 20th to the 23rd (ish). I have not had any other bleeding. I feel fine. except I am experiencing pms symptoms as well as strong breast pains since the 24th. Am I ovulating? Should I expect my period? Not sure whats exactly going on, and I do not have insurance to see a gyno to follow up.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

For investigations of irregular menstruations you may be asked for hormonal work up like FSH, LH, Oestrogen, Progesterone, Prolactin, etc.

Before hormonal check up, you will be examined internally to find any organic disease like infection or cyst-Ultrasonography also will reveal a good amount of information regarding your internal organs (and even pregnancy also).

Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein
