What Causes Irregular Menstruation When Diagnosed With Ovarian Cyst?

I recently had a five centimeter ovarian cyst drained surgically. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Two weeks later I am still having post surgery pain. I have had difficult and irregular periods my whole adult life. Im 35 and never had children. Considering a hysterectomy. I always wanted to have a baby but at this point between have pretty sever Hyper mobility Ehler Danlos Syndrome. Which by the way has become incredibly painful. I get two to three sprains a month. And have three or more surgeries a year. I also have a really week immune system. All of this is because of my EDS. Which is genentic. So, what are my risk in having a hysterectomy? And will I still get cysts? And will I start menopause? And how will this effect my EDS? Will my cramps stop? And will sex be different?

Hi,

It may be due to progesterone deficiency. So you may take progesterone pills to stop the intermenstrual bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
