What Causes Irregular Menstruation With Heavy Vaginal Bleeding?

I am at the point in my life that I am experiencing menopause symptoms...one of the things I am experiencing is irregular...extremely heavy cycles..a few people have mentioned to me that having an ablation may be an option...what are the risks with this?

Hi welcome to health care magic...

You have not mentioned your age..

Around 45 year age menstruation become somewhat irregular and gradually menstruation stops...

But you are having heavy periods, so kindly get your physical and pelvic examination...

Investigate with USG and peripheral speculum examination done....

If needed PAP smear done...
If PAP shows endometrial cells than curratage needed

Check hormonal profile also

Take care

Advise : Gynecologist consultation for examination and further work up
