What Causes Irregular Menstruation?

Hi Doc, am 28 yrs old unmarried girl., i have been having my periods irregular and have been consulting doctors on the same. for just 2 or 3 months after vising the Doc, my periods r fine; however in last 6 months, i have not got my period, could you please suggest a tablet for the same. Am not over weight and has a routine simple work out to maintain weight. My endometrium thickness remains 2 cms... let me know if there is any other details required.
